Primary Purpose of this Role
Donuts is seeking a designer with both visual and UI/UX expertise, as well as a proven track record of designing high quality site experiences and other marketing assets. This candidate ascribes to design thinking methodology to find optimal solutions for business problems with design-based solutions.
This candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of company design, including website, marketing projects, channel communications and elevating ppt presentations. This candidate will have a passion for branding and be a stickler when it comes to consistency around adhering to brand guidelines. In addition, the candidate will also help educate the marketing team on design principles and opportunities to become creative leaders
This role will oversee the website (frontend and backend), iterating as needed to ensure the best user experience. Additionally, this person will create user flows, customer journey maps and mock-ups. Because this role is at the center of company design and user interface, this candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Engineering.
What you bring to the table:
7+ years experience in UI/UX and design (BS/BA in Design, or related field a plus)
Proficiency in graphic design with a keen eye for quality, modern design
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that can own projects end-to-end with little direction
Versatile, collaborative team player and builder
Follow a user-centric design approach to every project; ability to guide others to this outcome
Improve user experiences centered around core business metrics
Experience managing developers + QA process
Experience managing projects in Asana
Understanding and experience with modern design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Component Libraries)
Technical web design experience
HTML, HTML5, CSS, WordPress, Pressable
Responsive web design
Animation
